Agape space | art at the heart
At Agape Space artistic expression is at the heart of every interior. For Anna Agapova, the founder of Agape Space, each design project becomes a creative universe and a personal challenge. In this sphere she thoughtfully conducts every part, including the smallest detail, to achieve a sense of perfect harmony and beauty, a place that invites contemplation and inspires human interaction. Her ultimate aim is to create a profound spacial experience, which offers a sense of physical well-being as well as mental and spiritual stimulation to its occupants.

Contrary to the more wide-spread treatment of art as an optional add-on, usually observed in the domain of luxury design, Anna Agapova sees pieces of art as an integral feature in her designs. This art-centred approach is deeply rooted in her belief that exposure to and inclusion of art plays a pivotal role in people’s perception of their immediate environment, regardless of the nature and the size of the project or the clients’ budget. Building further on her decades-long success in interior design and her interdisciplinary approach to creating unique residential and public spaces that bridge the gap between the natural world and urban environments, Anna’s ultimate goal is to shape the atmosphere, the narrative and the emotional impact of a space by placing carefully curated artwork at the core of her projects.
"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."

Biography
Anna’s creative journey never followed a straight line and she continues to embrace changing direction in line with her evolving perception of life and the world surrounding it. Initially, her lifelong passion for nature had inspired her to enrol at the Faculty of Geography at the Moscow State University in Russia. Her dream was to become a geographer and explore the wonders of the natural world. This passion would never leave her, but it would later accelerate and enrich her change of direction from science into design and artistic pursuit. Her love of drawing maps led her to the MoMA school. She developed a particular interest in Japanese painting and various forms of modern art, including photography, sculpture and installation art involving light and sound.  On realising that she wanted to follow a creative career path rather than a scientific one, she completed additional studies in lighting technology and began to design unique decorative lighting installations. Soon she expanded her creative reach by taking on challenging interior design projects as the Head of Design of an international architecture company.

Another major turning point came in 2017. After a decade of designing private and commercial interiors, planning architectural projects and creating collections of desirable interior objects, Anna’s ambition to consolidate her bespoke production experience under a unique brand led her to relocate to London. Here she established the O&A London office and started to collaborate with well-known brands in Europe’s major hubs for art and design. In addition to representing the O&A brand Anna serves as an editor for renowned French brands including Philippe Hurel, Maison Pouenat, Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne and Pinton. In 2021 Anna increased her focus on collectable design, which led to the creation of an exclusive lighting capsule collection together with Maison Pouenat and its debut at PAD London. The collection's success inspired her to develop AGAPE OBJECTS, a new brand encompassing installations, objects and sculptures that epitomise her refined aesthetics and innovative spirit.

In 2024 Anna opened her own gallery, AGAPE SPACE, a hybrid gallery that unites creatives and serves as a hub for the art community. AGAPE SPACE is a place to connect people through art, where Anna organises events and exhibitions, curates group shows and fosters creative dialogue. Additionally, Anna runs the AGAPE online gallery, a platform dedicated to promoting artists who’s vision resonates with hers, further expanding her mission of nurturing and showcasing exceptional talent in art and design.
agape objects | NATURE AT THE CORE
Anna’s creative process revolves around the interplay of light, sound, and texture, deeply influenced by the principles of minimalism and Japanese aesthetics. As a geographer, her profound connection to nature is reflected in her designs, where geological aesthetics and organic textures take center stage. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, she employs traditional craftsmanship combined with innovative techniques to give form to her vision.

Having started her career in lighting design, Anna’s core collection focuses on lighting installations that transform spaces into immersive experiences. Each piece is meticulously crafted to embody the essence of infinite love and transformation, embracing simplicity and space to allow the materials’ innate beauty to shine. Through her work, Anna strives to create designs that inspire contemplation and an enduring connection to nature.
Anna Agapova draws her creative energy from the natural world, shaping her designs to echo its timeless beauty and transformative power.

Every piece is infused with the harmony of organic forms, crafted to evoke both serenity and wonder in its beholder. Her functional sculptures serve as a bridge between art and nature, embodying a tactile narrative of her vision.
